Irene Meli

Grew up in Garfield, New Jersey.  Graduated from Garfield High School.  Has three children Anthony, Andrea, and John.  Worked as a Crossing Guard and over the years has enjoyed volunteering as a Girl Scout Leader, St. Claire’s Hospital and Hackensack Hospital.  Assisted her son Anthony to obtain his Eagle Scout badge. 

Irene has worked as a Bookkeeper for Nursing Homes and earned her credentials as a travel agent and worked as a travel agent for many years until the company closed in 2012. 

Resident of Cook’s Pond Senior Housing since 2016.  Currently volunteers at Cook’s Pond Senior Housing in the activities committee, i.e., Bingo Night, Movie Night, Gardening Club, Library Club and Cook’s Pond Yearly Christmas Party.  Enjoys sewing and baking and is a proud member of the Denville Senior Group.
