Elizabeth DeCoursey
In July 2023, Liz DeCoursey was named the interim CEO of Morris Habitat for Humanity, headquartered in Randolph, New Jersey. Prior to becoming the interim CEO, she served as the organization’s COO and VP of Real Estate, serving as the key advisor to the CEO. DeCoursey started with Morris Habitat in 2006 and has played a key role in growing the organization from a less than $1M organization to an over $10M organization using her experience as a business owner to develop partnerships and oversee operations with a focus on process improvement and technology.
DeCoursey is an accomplished leader who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes with a professional team of attorneys, architects, engineers, and planners to secure land use approvals, often having to advocate for affordable housing during the process. She has testified in front of countless municipal governing bodies, and planning and zoning boards, and has testified before the NJ State Housing Committee in Trenton.
With nearly twenty years’ experience in the affordable housing sector, DeCoursey has served on the board of directors for several local organizations and has served as a panelist and presenter at numerous conferences. She graduated from County College of Morris with an associate degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Business Administration from Centenary College and inducted into Alpha Sigma Lambda for her academic excellence.
